Come along to our photo sessions to dust off your camera and get snap-happy with a professional photography instructor.

Brush up on your camera skills and learn new photography techniques whilst on a photo walk class with other local keen photographers!

We run two hour photography sessions based on a photography theme/technique/style and they take place in various locations in Guildford .

  • New to photography? We also run a popular 3 hour Beginners Guide to Photography Class once a month. And once in a while we will run special niche 3 hour classes, for example, Astrophotography - so do subscribe to our newsletter to know when the next on is!

  • Who can attend? Open to all skill levels, from beginners to keen amateurs. The photography instructor is there to help you with camera settings and provide any advice you need.

  • What to bring? We recommend bringing a camera that has full manual mode or semi-manual modes (Aperture or Shutter Priority). Compact cameras and smartphones also welcome!

    The meeting point and full details for the day are sent in the booking confirmation email to the email address you provide at time of booking.

    Experimenting with my Pluto trigger, after setting up the trigger timings added red food colouring to water and green into the valve thingamajig, the results you get are different every time, I love it. Setup was Sony A7RV @ 1/250s ISO 400, Sigma 105mm Art @ f14, Godox 860III flash with Cygnustech diffuser plus two Godox MF12 macro flash, Pluto trigger and water valve and a bowl of water. Shot Raw and processed in Lightroom and Photoshop.

    I always enjoy taking my camera for a walk in Bushy Park. This photo was shot on a rare sunny Sunday with a low temperature but crystal clean air. Half-melted ice adorns the pond, offering a perfect reflection of the trees along the shore,. The upper branches are sharp and distinct, while the pond?s reflection has an oil-painting-like texture, creating a stunning symmetrical masterpiece.     This amazing shot was taken at Mulligans Flat Woodland Sanctuary during one of my morning visits at the Sanctuary in February 2024. The first soft light rays from the sun and rising of mist from the lake water made it to look more serene and atmospheric environment. The dead tree (snags) in the water played vital role in making it look like the ghostly scenes in Hollywood movie "Lord of the Rings".The photo was shot with Nikon Z7ii at ISO 100, f14 at 13 sec and processed in Lightroom classic

    Been trying to capture an airplane going in front of the Moon for years. Still haven't got that Moon transit capture. There is something dynamic about this almost transit image I captured though. It almost gives the appearance that the passengers of that plane are doing a fly by and see the moon up close out of their windows.
